Our book for this month is called “100 NAMES OF GOD” written by Christopher D. Hudson. Each day we’ll take one Hebrew name for God as given in the Bible to study and relate to.
JEHOVAH EZRAH
MY HELPER
“Do not hide your face from me, do not turn your servant away in anger; you have been my helper. Do not reject me or forsake me, God my Savior.” Psalm 27:9
Think of all the different people who help us on a regular basis: doctors, nurses, therapists who help with our medical needs; teachers, librarians, and professors who help in our quest to find and learn vital information; trainers and mentors who help us acquire valuable skills; financial planners who help us budget wisely and invest for the future.
When there is a problem, a helper comes alongside and serves (and sometimes even saves). When there is a need, a helper is quick to show up and supply what is lacking.
As the Bible declares, and as history reveals, God helps His children like this. When we don’t know what to do, when we are weak or discouraged, sick or scared, He comes alongside. He provides fresh insights, encouragement, and renewed strength.
As a result, we can say, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?” (Hebrews 13:6).
How does God’s desire to help you affect your faith?

PRAYER
God, when I think about all the help I need, I am overwhelmed. When I think of the truth that You are my Helper, I am overjoyed! You are always there, and You are always more than capable for the job!!!! I praise You!!! Amen.
