ARROWS IN SUCH A TIME AS THIS
Today I was reading 2 Kings 13:14-19, and I saw how it fits like a glove into the life of the True Church for “such a time as this.” After the loss of our dearly loved brother in Christ.
“Elisha had become sick with the illness of which he would die. Then Joash the king of Israel came down to him, and wept over his face, and said, ‘O my father, my father, the chariots of Israel and their horsemen!’
And Elisha said to him, ‘Take a bow and some arrows.’ So he took himself a bow and some arrows. Then he said to the king of Israel, ‘Put your hand on the bow.’ So he put his hand on it, and Elisha put his hands on the king’s hands. And he said, ‘Open the east window’; and he opened it. Then Elisha said, ‘Shoot’; and he shot. And he said, ‘The arrow of the Lord’s deliverance and the arrow of deliverance from Syria; for you must strike the Syrians at Aphek till you have destroyed them.’ Then he said, ‘Take the arrows’; so he took them. And he said to the king of Israel, ‘Strike the ground’; so he struck three times, and stopped. And the man of God was angry with him, and said, ‘You should have struck five or six times; then you would have struck Syria till you had destroyed it! But now you will strike Syria only three times.’”

Charlie Kirk came on this scene a relatively short time ago and moved with the Lord at record speed, becoming a world wide leader in a few short years for the people of God, the True Church, at a time when evil was escalating worldwide. He was a spiritual leader for all ages, but especially for the younger generations.
He was, in a sense, like Elisha. He was led by the Lord, and others listened and followed.
But now, as with Elisha, he’s gone home. …. And we are here without him, as Joash was.
Had Charlie known that day was coming that soon, as Elisha knew, he may have given us the same advice Elisha gave King Joash:
Strike the arrows on the ground…………but not just three times! What we Christians in America have been doing is the same as Joash….relying on leaders to do the spiritual work, as Joash left connection with the Lord to Elisha.
We only struck the arrows three times, and God is judging the Church for that.
BUT remember, our fight is NOT against “flesh and blood”—-it is NOT against the people we’re talking to. We speak to them in love. Our Lord always spoke in Love and Truth, and so did Charlie.
We must NEVER ever forget whom our enemies are and whom they are not!
Now we feel like orphans, as the King of Israel did when he knew he would lose Elisha. But just as Elisha showed King Joash, so the Lord is showing us that we’re not orphans. Our Father is the King of the Universe. Our Lord is Lord of all!!! He is the Captain of the Hosts!!!
The Lion of Judah!!!!
This is a huge spiritual battle that we are in,….time is marching quickly to God’s ultimate judgment of the evil in this world, and right now, God is judging this nation because the True Church of born again believers in this nation has gotten lazy—-yes, lazy—–
We’ve been lazily striking the arrows on the ground for just 3 times, and then taking a rest… soaking up the blessings of our Lord and Savior and barely thanking Him.
We haven’t been in the battle.
Our arrows are our guided words from the Holy Spirit. They are our Holy Spirit led prayers.

We all live in a mission field, no matter how small or how large that may be. No circle is too small. Even alone in a room or home, the Lord is there and there is a whole world of people to pray for. Pray for their salvation, their protection, their guidance, fruits The needs are put before us by the Holy Spirit. If you don’t know, then pray for the Lord’s will to be done on the earth, as Jesus taught us to pray. Then praise the Lord with your whole being, studying His Word for understanding.
We all can either talk to people or pray for them. If Spirit led, both are powerful. It’s not our talents, or lack of, …..it’s our availability and submission to the Lord that’s powerful.
We don’t usually see the results, but rest assured, the results are there. How do you know but that you might be the first, second, or 120th person to speak to someone about salvation, but you are in the chain, and maybe this time is the time when they are ready to accept. We don’t know. How do you know but that the one person you speak to will in turn speak to others, and those to others. Each link in a chain is as strong as the rest, because it’s in God’s strength that we do it.
But we have to be available and submitted to make a difference. We can’t leave it to our leaders. Each link must hold. Each arrow must hit.
Above all, PRAY, PRAY AND PRAY MUCH MORE!!!! You can pray while you’re working, walking, resting,….and thank and praise the Lord in every moment of the day: “pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”
(1 Thessalonians 5:17-19)
KEEP STRIKING THOSE ARROWS………..DON’T STOP AT 3 TIMES,….. OR 10,300 TIMES! AND DO IT IN LOVE FOR THE PERSON, AND TRUE WORSHIP OF OUR LORD AND SAVIOR.
