FAITH OR COMPLACENCY?
FAITH OR COMPLACENCY????—We are all Watchmen
With events progressing all over the world, time speeding through the end time events, God is calling His people to stand and work for His Kingdom like never before in our lifetimes.—-maybe like never before in history.
It is true we must have faith and trust that God is in control. He sees the future He has planned for the world and for each of us, but let’s not confuse faith with complacency.
In the U.S., where I am from, Christians have had it easy in past years. We have not had the persecutions many other countries have had. But that is already changing, and will get worse as time goes on.
There are financial and verbal persecutions happening all across our nation, and if our present government is re elected, these are likely to turn physical.
I see Christians who are hiding behind “faith”….”God will take care of who is elected” …“God will protect us.”
It is true, the Word has many, many verses of protection and His Sovereignty.
But, when the events progress, and the “beast” who is of the antichrist spirit, comes to power, there will be no substitute for the time and effort we spent in Our Lord’s Presence, learning to discern His Word from false doctrines. Don’t let the false “pre-trib rapture” lull you to sleep concerning this….we must be ready for whatever will come and whenever, watching and obeying in the meantime.
He also expects us to spread His Word so as many as possible can be saved. He expects us to stand up for His Word and His Kingdom, and show Christians the fallacies and deceptions that will increase.
There is no longer the luxury of just “church on Sunday” Christianity, as many have been accustomed to. In fact, we need to pray earnestly for discernment about the doctrines taught in the churches. Deception begins at church, and “judgment begins with the House of God” God will hold us accountable for people who are deceived under our “watch”….if we don’t obey the Holy Spirit and warn them.
The Lord won’t do our work for us. He won’t vote for us, He won’t write letters for us, He won’t speak to our neighbors and acquaintances. The Holy Spirit will do an inner work in them after we open the door through prayer and/or conversation (as the Lord leads) but He wants us to obey and reach out with whatever means we have available. In these times, there are many ways to communicate His Word.
Complacency is not faith, and faith is not complacency. Faith is living and active, not passive and restful.
“Waiting on God” is an active thing….praying, fasting, reading and praying about the Word, and obeying His every command…..are all “waiting” activities.
Ezekiel Chapter 3.….
17” Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me.
18 When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.
19 Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.
20 Again, When a righteous man doth turn from his righteousness, and commit iniquity, and I lay a stumbling-block before him, he shall die: because thou hast not given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he hath done shall not be remembered; but his blood will I require at thine hand.
21 Nevertheless if thou warn the righteous man, that the righteous sin not, and he doth not sin, he shall surely live, because he is warned; also thou hast delivered thy soul.
22 And the hand of the Lord was there upon me; and he said unto me, Arise, go forth into the plain, and I will there talk with thee.”
We are called to be watchmen for those we encounter in life. As Christians, we are responsible for listening to the Lord’s voice in our spirits and obeying, if He tells us to speak,: and pray for the person if that is what He tells us. As in the above Word, we will be held responsible….not for their decision…..but for our obedience in the situation.

Ezekiel Chapter 33
33 Again the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,
2 Son of man, speak to the children of thy people, and say unto them, When I bring the sword upon a land, if the people of the land take a man of their coasts, and set him for their watchman:
3 If when he seeth the sword come upon the land, he blow the trumpet, and warn the people;
4 Then whosoever heareth the sound of the trumpet, and taketh not warning; if the sword come, and take him away, his blood shall be upon his own head.
5 He heard the sound of the trumpet, and took not warning; his blood shall be upon him. But he that taketh warning shall deliver his soul.
6 But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman’s hand.
7 So thou, O son of man, I have set thee a watchman unto the house of Israel; therefore thou shalt hear the word at my mouth, and warn them from me.
8 When I say unto the wicked, O wicked man, thou shalt surely die; if thou dost not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.
9 Nevertheless, if thou warn the wicked of his way to turn from it; if he do not turn from his way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.
10 Therefore, O thou son of man, speak unto the house of Israel; Thus ye speak, saying, If our transgressions and our sins be upon us, and we pine away in them, how should we then live?
11 Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord God, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel?
12 Therefore, thou son of man, say unto the children of thy people, The righteousness of the righteous shall not deliver him in the day of his transgression: as for the wickedness of the wicked, he shall not fall thereby in the day that he turneth from his wickedness; neither shall the righteous be able to live for his righteousness in the day that he sinneth.
13 When I shall say to the righteous, that he shall surely live; if he trust to his own righteousness, and commit iniquity, all his righteousnesses shall not be remembered; but for his iniquity that he hath committed, he shall die for it.”
This again shows our great responsibility to hear the Lord’s voice and commands and obey them!!!!
!Samuel 15:22 “Obedience is better than sacrifice”….Focusing genuinely on God, learning to hear His voice, and obeying His Word, are ever so beautiful in His sight. There are Christians who go to church, volunteer for church, but have no time to genuinely seek God. We need to focus on Him, and Him alone…for what He wants us to do for His Kingdom, and for our own relationship with Him.
God bless you in your walk with Our Beautiful Lord!!!
