Many famous preachers today will teach you the “steps” to walking in the power of God, walking in peace and prosperity, and happiness in this life. They will have you take your eyes off of God and onto yourself. They will turn you to seek after what you can get from God, instead of seeking how you can please Him. Oh, they will say they are focusing on Him, but the final goal is YOUR comfort, and love for yourself.

Some even say you will become a god. We should aspire to become LIKE God. But the Word is clear that, the journey in that direction is anything but comfortable. In fact, it will make us more and more uncomfortable, as well as more and more peaceful within our spirits.

Our “old man” (Col. 3:9-10) is naturally selfish so in the flesh, we will grab at the “carrot” these preachers hold out, but our renewed spirit yearns to be drawn only by God.

These processes are conflicting for human hearts and minds. ( See Romans chapter 7) We have lost our ability to commune with God as Adam and Eve did in the Garden before the Fall. We had to have our spirits quickened at salvation, and as our redemption goes forth, we have to get re-acquainted with Our Lord. (Phil. 2:12 says, “Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.”

As we come to know Him better each day, and our spirits grow to recognize His attributes, we see, more and more, our weaknesses, shortcomings, failures, and …..our SIN.

*Our recognition of our own sin will conflict with our recognition of His perfectness, and, despite our knowledge of His Grace, we will be in inner turmoil at times. This is a good thing, because He is purifying us and making us grow more like Him.

When preachers coach their listeners to seek after peace, concentrate on Grace, and know that their sins are forgiven…past, present, and future….without repentance, they are NOT preaching the TRUTH!!!!

They are teaching people to reject God’s work in them, which is part of their regeneration, and therefore, part of their salvation. Salvation is not a prayer said one time, and …done….turn on the TV. It’s a lifetime of stretching, tearing, yearning, hurting, which produces a wonderful peace, joy and strength we could never have without Him. This is why Jesus said this in John 14:27: “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid” Note: HIS PEACE.

There is no true peace without conflict between our human nature and God’s Divine nature, and there is no forgiveness without repentance.

Pleasing God is not a many-step thing. Its simple….FULLY TRUST HIM, FULLY SEEK HIM, AND FULLY OBEY HIM.

That’s all! If we do these things, we will please God. But, many Christians don’t want to go all the way to Him, so they skirt around the issues and compromise. They believe false doctrines because they make them “feel good”, and give them “peace”. These are all false feelings from the devil, and a false peace.

This is why our nation is in the situation it is in. Christians are supposed to be the driving force and foundation for this nation, but by and large, they have failed.

The Book of Judges shows us the Israelites’ journey after the battles Joshua led. When the next generation finally arrived in the promised land….a picture of modern day Christians, as, after our initial commitment we are entering the “promised land” of salvation.

But, if you will read Judges chapter 1 and 2, and beyond, you will see that, like salvation through Christ, it wasn’t an easy or simple thing. They had to fight yet again.

They had conflicts and needed to show courage.

This is what many Christians of today don’t understand, nor do many preachers teach it.

Salvation is a lifelong journey. The fight never ends, because the closer we come to the Lord, the more we see our weaknesses. We cannot EVER give in to sin or compromise, and we need always to confess and repent wholeheartedly so the Lord can forgive and make us grow.

Christians also have another responsibility, in addition to our responsibility to our relationship with Our Lord, and other people, we have a responsibility to our nations, to the people we share our land with, to bring the Lord’s power to play in the actions on earth.

I am speaking to all people, worldwide, but my focus will be to the people in the United States. We are in a terrible crisis, and because of the false pre-tribulation rapture teaching, many Christians are not fulfilling that responsibility we’ve been given.

Our Lord guided our forefathers when they started this nation, and His Name is on EVERY foundational document for this republic. He has worked miracles during our wars, and delivered us, because we were a nation founded for and by Him, to proclaim and preserve His Truth.

He put that Wonderful Truth in the hands of Christians, to hold, and proclaim, and suffer to preserve, but the Church as a whole has FAILED!!!!

Precious few Christians will risk even the anger of their “friends” to stand up for their God, much less physical threat.

This is beyond shameful, when Christians in other nations are being slaughtered and tortured for their faith, and many so-called Christians here are sitting on their couches saying, “Lord Jesus come back”….this is stench in the nostrils of Our God who has commanded us to reject false doctrines by studying His Word, and few have even read the verses describing this doctrine, and so, are complacently blindfolding themselves to the Truth!!!!!

Judges 2:1-3 says: “ And an angel of the Lord came up from Gilgal to Bochim, and said, I made you to go up out of Egypt, and have brought you unto the land which I sware unto your fathers; and I said, I will never break my covenant with you.

And ye shall make no league with the inhabitants of this land; ye shall throw down their altars: but ye have not obeyed my voice: why have ye done this?

Wherefore I also said, I will not drive them out from before you; but they shall be as thorns in your sides, and their gods shall be a snare unto you”

Look at this! Is this not what the Church is doing? We have been brought out of Egypt, and the Church as a whole is NOT fighting and standing against the hideous sin and compromise that is sweeping across our nation by the standing government. We are not throwing down the alters of homosexuality, anti-Christian Islamic laws, the lies of the government. There has been not one Godly thing handed down by the government in many years….especially not since 2009, and God will hold each silent Christian at fault!!!! The complacency and compromise of the church has created a huge snare!!!!

Judges 2:3 is where this nation is now…..will be respond like the Israelites did in verses 4-7? “And it came to pass, when the angel of the Lord spake these words unto all the children of Israel, that the people lifted up their voice, and wept.

And they called the name of that place Bochim: and they sacrificed there unto the Lord.

And when Joshua had let the people go, the children of Israel went every man unto his inheritance to possess the land.

And the people served the Lord all the days of Joshua, and all the days of the elders that outlived Joshua, who had seen all the great works of the Lord, that he did for Israel.”

THEY repented, took down the alters (of compromise) and stood up for the Lord, and the Lord blessed them and healed their land. Just like He said in 2 Chronicles 7:14 “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”

When we are faithful to stand on the conflicts within ourselves without compromise, we will obtain His strength to stand on the conflicts within our nations with His strength!!!
