THE HAIRS ON OUR HEADS
THE HAIRS ON OUR HEADS
The Word says that not even a sparrow falls without the Father.
It also says that the very hairs on our heads are numbered.
In other words, God knows when a hair falls out, or grows in!!!! Some people think that they shouldn’t “bother” God with “insignificant” things in our lives.
This could not be farther from the truth. If He says He knows when a sparrow dies, then obviously He was with that sparrow for its whole life!!! We don’t think about things like this, because animals don’t have the Spirit of God breathed into them, like God did with Adam, thus making humans children of God, and animals just creation. This is true, for sure, and that makes it even more impressive that He cares about all his creatures. Even the smallest bug is equipped for surviving, with its own unique body parts and characteristics. Think about this: He even cares about the life of that bug!!! He made each creature, small and large, with the perfect chemicals, structure, instincts, and strengths to survive in its environment. When the verse was written, the sparrow was thought of as one of the most insignificant of creatures, and they were given as sacrifices by the poorest of the poor.
How could He do less for His children, who have accepted Jesus Christ as Lord of their lives.? Animals have no choice but to obey their instincts, which is to obey God, but He
has given us a choice, and when we make that choice to submit totally to Him, His care for us far exceeds his care for His creation to fantastic amounts!!!!!
We can’t comprehend just how earnestly He watches us, waiting for us to open our hearts to Him.
When I interact with other Christians, and realize how very different their lifestyles are from mine, its awesome to think about the fact that God is as interested in their problems as He is in mine, …..He doesn’t have earthly interests, or a favorite lifestyle, He just loves each of us so much, that He puts His whole Godhood into our lives!!!!! He puts Himself into our lives, again, as he did at Gethsemane (read my other teaching about Gethsemane on here), and lives them with us…….but most of the time, most people ignore Him, and that is so heartbreaking. If Christians only knew what is in store when we open the door wide, we would never close it again!!!!
