THE MIND OF CHRIST
After Peter heard from the Lord, he did not confer with flesh and blood.
I always thought of that as saying that he didn’t confer with other people, but it also means ourselves.
Once we are saved, we are a New Creation, with the nature of God in us. We are not the same creature we were before salvation.
Romans chapter 6:6 tells us: “6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.”
“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”
After salvation, our thought process needs re-teaching. We need to think like the new creatures that we are. We need to realize 1Cor. 2:16, and train ourselves to use this gift every saved person has:
“For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? but we have the mind of Christ.”
Think about how WONDERFUL that gift is? We don’t need to rely on our limited vision and wisdom, we have, within us, the very MIND OF CHRIST!!! This means that we have, through our living spirits, direct communication with Our Lord! We have access to His wisdom for decisions in our lives, as well as direction and correction for becoming whom He wants us to be!!!!
But, we will only be able to use this if we totally submit to His will in our lives. He is still communicating with us all the time, but we will only be able to hear Him if we open the lines of communication through our obedience and submission.
He never leaves us, nor forsakes us. It is US who leave Him…..maybe not by turning away from Christianity, but in subtle ways, ignoring Him in our minds, when our spirits are showing us something.
Most of us don’t turn from Him in big ways, it is the small things in which we hurt Him and vex the Holy Spirit.
How can mankind ever think we can accomplish anything? EVERYTHING is by the grace of God. We were created by Him, we breath because of His good grace and His creation design, we move, think , speak, etc. only by Him. We are truly unprofitable servants.(vs)..think about a servant whom the master has to hold up, help him walk, move his hands, etc. That is truly an unprofitable servant! That is what we are. Everything is by His Grace, Power, Wisdom, or Protection….but, still, He loves us to the point of becoming Man and dying to save us.
This is why evolutionists fight so hard to teach children that creation never happened.
If there is anything more 
absurd than mankind accomplishing great things without God, it is the fallacy that all the great biological phenomenon that we see in all creatures and plants happened just by “happenstance”!!
We aren’t here to “be good”. We are here to develop a relationship with God.
Thoughts of ourselves take our mind off of Him. If we constantly look to Him, we will know His will and have the ability to obey Him, because we will be able to train our minds to connect with The Mind of Christ that He gave us.
What a fantastic gift from Our Wonderful Lord! Let us use it to its fullest!!!
