ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE

Mark 9:23 “Jesus said unto him, ‘if you can believe, all things are possible to him that believes.”

So many who call themselves Christians, and many pastors, use this verse freely, to show people that what they want in this life, Jesus will get for them….like an errand boy. They need only to believe that He will get it for them, and it will be so….like a magic fairyland story.

It is presented as needing faith in the miracle, but that is not what this and other similar verses are saying. One needs to study the root words of the key words in the verse.

As in John 3:16, everywhere the word “believe” is used, it means far more than our English word indicates. It, in all its forms, means a deep commitment, and trust in Jesus, not in each act that He did. It means…
