GOD’S WORD FOR JULY 2
Hebrews 12:2 (AMP) “ [looking away from all that will distract us and] focusing our eyes on Jesus, who is the Author and Perfecter of faith [the first incentive for our belief and the One who brings our faith to maturity], who for the joy [of accomplishing the goal] set before Him endured the cross, disregarding the shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God [revealing His deity, His authority, and the completion of His work].” This is one of the foundational verses of Christianity. We must keep our eyes on Jesus in our lives, whether things are going good or bad. Without faith, it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6) and without our eyes on Jesus it is impossible to have faith. What He did for us at Calvary is impossible for us to comprehend, even for a human being to eperience, but for God to give up heaven to come down to this evil-infested land, is unimaginable. Yet, because He looked forward to the joy and purity we will experience with Him in eternity, He endured it FOR US. And it cannot be reversed. “it is finished”, as He said on the cross. So the least we can do is to look to Him for everything as He asks us to do. All He asks is our undivided faith in Him. That’s pretty easy!!! Yet, as the Word says, when He comes back, “will He find faith on the earth?” Will He? “Lord, please help us to keep our eyes on You. Keep us from distractions and deceptions. Praise You for all You’ve done for Your saved ones!!!”

No one is excluded, no one is “too far gone”. He came to seek those who are lost, and, although He is fully God, He became man to suffer and die for YOU. But you need to accept this free gift. You can start by reading the gospel of John, and the epistles (Especially Romans, Corinthians, Ephesians, and Colossians) Go to Him sincerely, He WILL show you the Truth!!!
