GOD’S WORD FOR SEPTEMBER 18 ~~2 Thes. 3:2-3 Amp~~ “and [pray] that we will be rescued from perverse and evil men; for not everyone has the faith. But the Lord is faithful, and He will strengthen you [setting you on a firm foundation] and will protect and guard you from the evil one.”

The church needs to repent of her laziness, and her false teaching that Christians shouldn’t be involved in “politics” that went rampant for many years. What goes on in nations of the world is not “politics” only, but the workings of spiritual warfare in the heavenlies, and Christians absolutely should be standing for Truth. As the true Church, the remnant, repents before the Lord, we will see more and more Christians feel and understand the power of the Spirit within them, as God releases the Holy Spirit as in the prophesy of Joel. THEN we can pray that the Lord will have mercy on His people and forgive us for our apathy, and reverse the evil situation. But, if this is the true end times, He won’t back it off. The Church needs to repent still, putting ourselves on our faces before the Lord, in His perfect Will. If that means persecution, He will, as He always does, bless us with His Presence, so that, being filled with His Glory, as Stephen was, we will barely know it is taking place. That is what He is promising in this verse. He will NEVER leave us nor forsake us.
