GOD’S WORD FOR SEPTEMBER 26~ ~ ~1Thes 5:18 AMP~ ~ “ in every situation [no matter what the circumstances] be thankful and continually give thanks to God; for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus.” This is a pretty simple, straightforward command. EVERY situation, CONTINUALLY, and this is the WILL OF GOD for those who are in Christ Jesus—who are true Christians. The more we read His Word, and the more we listen to Him in silence, the more we will be thankful. The psalms are a great read for praising Him and being thankful for everything. Since He is in control of all things, in all areas, everything, whether caused by man, or by satan, has to go past Him first. He is never surprised. He has planned and fulfilled everything we’re going through already. We were with Him at the cross, and future generations were also. Time has no effect on Him. All this has happened, and He knows it turns out wonderfully!!! That’s another reason we can trust Him. Nothing is a surprise to Him. So, everything that happens is in His perfect will, and for our good. It may not seem like it to us at the time, because of our ignorance of so many things, but He KNOWS. We may see the wisdom of it in this world, and we may not. Either way, He knows what He’s doing, or allowing, and we need to always be thankful for His will being done~ ~ in EVERY situation, and CONTINUALLY!!!! If you don’t feel like it at first, read the psalms, praise Him, and soon He will make it real to you.
