GOD’S WORD FOR OCTOBER 20 ~ ~ 2 Corinthians 6:10 ~ ~ “ as sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet bestowing riches on many; as having nothing, yet possessing all things.” Thank You, Lord, that this is not a contradiction, it is a description of the Christian’s life. We are sorrowful for the evil and suffering we see around us, and in our own lives, yet, we have that peace that surpasses understanding, knowing we are saved from our sins, and will live with You forever, where there will be no evil, death, no sadness, and we will be made perfect. We don’t want the riches of this world because this world is not our home. We will be home when we die and leave this world. Therefore, we do what we can for others. We only want our needs met, which we know You will do, as You have promised, and we know that anything we think we own, was given by You, so we have nothing, yet, we possess all things because we are one with You, Jesus, as you prayed in your High Priestly prayer. We praise You for all these things. Please show us and all Your people the reality of this and all of Your Word. In Jesus wonderful name, we pray.
