GOD’S WORD FOR DECEMBER 15

PROPHESIES OF JESUS THE MESSIAH FOR DECEMBER 15 ~ ~Number 5 ~ ~ Born in Bethlehem ~ ~ Prophesied in Micah 5:2 ~ ~

“But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, Though you are little among the thousands of Judah,
Yet out of you shall come forth to Me The One to be Ruler in Israel,
Whose goings forth are from of old, From everlasting.”

Fulfilled: Luke 2:4-7 ~ ~ “ Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and lineage of David,  to be registered with Mary, his betrothed wife, who was with child.  So it was, that while they were there, the days were completed for her to be delivered. And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.”

Number 6 ~ ~ The Way Prepared by John the Baptist ~ ~ Prophesied in Isaiah 40:3-5 ~ ~ “The voice of one crying in the wilderness: Prepare the way of the Lord; Make straight in the desert A highway for our God.
 Every valley shall be exalted And every mountain and hill brought low; The crooked places shall be made straight And the rough places smooth; The glory of the Lord shall be revealed, And all flesh shall see it together;
For the mouth of the Lord has spoken.”

Fulfilled: Matthew 3:1-3 ~ ~ “ In those days John the Baptist came preaching in the wilderness of Judea,  and saying, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!”  For this is he who was spoken of by the prophet Isaiah, saying:

“The voice of one crying in the wilderness: ‘Prepare the way of the Lord; Make His paths straight.’ ”
