GOD’S WORD FOR DECEMBER 27 ~ ~ Romans 12:2 ~ ~ “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” And this is the follow up from yesterday’s verse. How do we keep from being conformed to this world, when the world is flashing and screaming in front of us all the time? Again, it’s by being in the Word every day, and keeping our mind on Jesus. This is how we find out what His will for us is. Too many people go about their lives (supposedly) on their own—making their own decisions, then when they get into a problem, they expect Jesus to jump in and tell them what to do. It doesn’t work that way. Our spirits have to be trained to hear Him, by daily time with Him and in His Word. That way, when the tough decisions come up, our minds will be renewed, as the verse says, and we will better understand what God would have us do.
