GOD’S WORD FOR JANUARY 3 ~ ~ John 17:22-23 ~~ “ And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.” This is part of what should be called the Lord’s Prayer (the other one was for believers to say). This chapter is Jesus speaking to the Father. What a wonderful thing that we can read that holy conversation!!! Jesus is praying for the one-ness between true believers and Himself. Spiritually we are connected with Him even in this world. Some strive for the most in that relationship, while others barely skim the surface. If we love a person, we want to spend time conversing with them. It’s no different with Jesus. We cannot understand the one-ness until we unite with Him spiritually, and feel what He was asking of the Father…..that we may fully understand that the Father loves us as much as He loves His own Son, and member of the Triune Godhead!!!! Our minds cannot comprehend that fact, but it should be entrenched in our spirit and souls!!!!!!
