GOD’S WORD FOR FEBRUARY 28
GOD’S WORD FOR FEBRUARY 28 ~ ~ Is 61:10 ~ ~ PRAISE ~~~”I will rejoice greatly in the Lord, My soul will exult in my God; For He has clothed me with garments of salvation, He has covered me with a robe of righteousness, As a bridegroom puts on a turban, And as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.” The Word speaks a lot about the “robe of righteousness” or the “white robe” It is symbolic of knowing that our sins are forgiven. Jesus told the parable of the wedding feast in which one person came without a garment fit for it. He was cast out. Jesus was symbolizing His wedding feast in heaven to come—the “Marriage supper of the Lamb”, when He marries His bride, the True Church. References to that are in many of the books of the New Testament. Just like in that culture, when people had to wear their finest and cleanest robes to just be a guest at the feast, we will need to be perfectly pure to be part of it as the Bride. Salvation gives us that garment, and the eternal security of being with Jesus for eternity!!! This life is short, but our decisions here determine our happiness or suffering for eternity. If we have made Him our Savior, we need to praise Him daily for the Grace of Salvation.
