GOD’S WORD FOR MARCH 9
GOD’S WORD FOR MARCH 9 ~ ~Isaiah 49:15~ ~ “Can a woman forget her nursing child, And not have compassion on the son of her womb? Surely they may forget, Yet I will not forget you.”
Before birth, a developing baby breathes amniotic fluid, which delivers dissolved oxygen to the lungs. When very premature babies are born, they often have difficulty breathing because their lungs lack a substance that enables them to get oxygen from the air. The result is often chronic lung disease or other permanent damage.
But now researchers are testing something that is popularly called “liquid air.” This liquid, a perfluorocarbon, can carry oxygen to the immature lungs of the infant who is not yet ready to breathe air, much like the amniotic fluid the child would be breathing had it not been born prematurely. Animal tests suggest that infants who were born after only 20 weeks of gestation could be helped to survive through the use of this “liquid air.”
It has taken humans thousands of years of medical development to come up with an advance that begins to mimic the way an unborn infant gets oxygen. This makes it even more difficult to believe that mindless nature created the womb and much easier to believe that the womb is the creation of a loving and wise Creator.
For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb.
I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well.
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations.”
The Great Creator God has thought of everything, and left even the atheists to have to admit that they are baffled by so many things.
But as much and as beautifully He takes care of us physically, He has so much more taken care of us eternally.
What good would it do to bring a baby into the world, if his only option of a future was eternal damnation in the lake of fire forever?
We know that satan is the god of this world, being given it by Adam when he chose to obey satan instead of God. As a result…..
2Corinthians 4:4 “…the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving so that they will not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.”
So, before a baby is born—-while he is still in his mother’s womb—he is destined for hell because he has inherited the sin nature through Adam.

But, since God created mankind to be with Him eternally, He had a plan for what He knew would happen even before He created anything.
Of course, that plan was Jesus’ suffering, death, Resurrection, and substitution for our punishment.
Now, that baby who has already gone through so much, will have a chance to live for Jesus his Lord in this life, and forever, if he so chooses. And God knows, even before he’s conceived, if he will or not.
But everyone deserves a chance to choose. That’s why we’re given the Great Commission in:
“And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.”
What a wonderful God we serve!
