GOD’S WORD FOR APRIL 2
GOD’S WORD FOR APRIL 2 ~ ~ Psalm 84:3 ~ ~ “Even the sparrow has found a home, And the swallow a nest for herself, Where she may lay her young— Even Your altars, O Lord of hosts, My King and my God.”
Tailorbirds are small birds that have short rounded wings, short tail which is held upright, like a wren, strong legs and long curved bills. They are typically found in open woodland, scrub and gardens.
As you might guess by the name, these birds sew. They sew a hammock of sorts to support their nests. The hammock is usually a large leaf, in which they pierce holes with their beak and use plant fiber or even spider web to sew it to a twig in thick foliage.
The nest shape is more like a cup, so predators don’t see the opening, and it’s further hidden due to the fact that the holes that she makes with her beak are so tiny that it doesn’t cause any browning of the edges of the leaves for predators to see.
The process seems to be more like riveting than sewing, although at times she will draw the same thread to another set of holes. She usually will line the edges of the leaves together, and make one hole through both of them. Then she will take a piece of whatever fiber she’s using for a thread, or rivet, and put it through.
Since the hole in the leaves is so tiny, the thread is constricted, so it fluffs out on either side of the leaves, keeping it in place much like a rivet.

In some experiments, cotton thread was left out. Some birds used them, and some didn’t. The inside of the nest is much like many other birds, softened with lint, hair, or other soft material, where they raise their three babies.

In creation, each animal makes its home differently. Our homes are different, specifically as we like them.
In eternity, we’ll each have a home that suits us perfectly. Jesus made that clear.
In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
Revelation 21:1-7
“Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea. Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”
Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” And He said to me, “Write, for these words are true and faithful.”
And He said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts. He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son. “
