JUDGING BEGINS WITH THE CHURCH
Psalm19:14: “Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my strength and my redeemer.”
When we see the ever-increasing evil, going at an ever-increasing speed, its easy to shake our heads at those people.
But what we need to know is that Judgment begins in the House of God. IPeter 4:17 says: ” For the time is come that judgment must begin at… the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?”
We are the Bride of Christ. We are espoused to the Great I Am, the Alpha and Omega, Creator of the Universe, Prince of Peace, Wonderful Counselor, Mighty King of Kings, Lion of Judah, Rose of Sharon, Lord of Lords, Almighty God, Saviour of the World,Lamb of God, and the list goes on….THAT is our husband.
What a tremendous privilege, What a gift!!! Not only has He saved us from terrible destruction, which we deserve, but He has espoused us, and it will be consummated at the Marriage Supper of the Lamb!!!!!!!
How can we be given that tremendous position, through no goodness of our own…a pure and wonderful gift…..and not live up to the position. When a woman is married by an earthly king, she must live up to the position she was given, and join thoroughly to her king and husband. Can we possibly do less for the King of Kings???!!!!!
We are called and held to a much higher standard than the world, and we will be judged much harsher than people of the world, because we have been given much greater light.
It baffles me how anyone who knows he’s a Christian can lead a normal life in this world. We should be always uneasy, knowing that our real home is with Our Lord and Saviour.
We should always be looking for ways to make Him happy, as a good earthly wife seeks to please her husband. Our minds should be consumed with Him, not the pleasures of this world. He wants us to enjoy His creation, and love people, but we are to see it through His eyes, in fellowship with Him, as a wife seeks to share her joys with her husband.
How can a good wife see people speaking evil against her husband and not rally to the cause? How can we, as spouses of Almighty God see the evil around us and not be on our knees in sorrow and pleading for the sake of Our Lord?
If we had been there when He walked the Way of the Cross, I like to think we would be among the women crying by the way, offering Him water and blotting His many sores. But, in all honesty, would we have been? Many in that time, and now, are hiding from the antagonizers, not willing to stand up for Our Lord.
How can we rise in the morning and not seek Him first, to see what we can do for Him and those He loves?
He wants….no, He commands….that His people, His Bride, return to our First Love….Our husband, Our Lord Jesus Christ.
