OUR SOCIETY FROM GOD’S WORD
OUR SOCIETY FROM GOD’S WORD
God deals entirely differently with His Born Again Child than He does with the unbeliever.
Psalm 11:5 tells us “The Lord tries the righteous: but the wicked and him that loves violence, His soul hates.”
As Christians, we can be sure that we will have trials and hard times. Jesus told us we would. Some of those things are things we bring onto ourselves, some are because of this fallen world, still others are temptations from satan, but some are trials that the Lord gives us to draw us to Himself. He loves us enough to lovingly put us on the edge, so we have no where to turn but to Him, and He is always there to catch us. This is what He means in Ps. 11:5.
(above).
He is longsuffering, and slow to anger. He is very patient, and gives every person many chances, as He pushes a little, and watches, ….ready to draw the person in with His magnificent love.
Ps. 18:25-26: “With the merciful, You will show Yourself merciful; with an upright man, You will show Yourself upright. With the pure, You will show Yourself pure, and with the froward, You will show Yourself froward.”
He will respond to us the way we act toward Him.
There comes a time for those people, when God has had enough. When He knows they will not turn to Him because their pride has become too imbedded in their souls. Then, He will deal with them differently. They have crossed over the line, never to return, and He must protect His children by annihilating these others.
This happens in the lives of individuals, and also in society, or nations as a whole. God’s judgment in eminent on our society and many nations. I don’t know how long He’ll stay His hand, but it is inevitable.
Ps. 10:4-6 deals with that….”The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek after God: God is not in all his thoughts. His ways are always grievous, Your judgments are far above out of his sight: as for all his enemies, he puffeth at them. He has said in his heart, I shall not be moved: for I shall never be in adversity.”
This is showing the prideful attitude of the world. They don’t think they need God. They have closed their eyes so that they cannot see Him or sense Him anymore. In the beginning they could. Every person has an inner sense of God. He made sure of that, so no one would have an excuse. Even those who have not heard of Him through human voice, know of Him in their souls.
Psalm 19:1-6 tells us: “The heavens declare the glory of God, and the firmament shows His handiwork. Day to day utters speech and night to night shows knowledge There is no speech nor language where their voice is not heard. Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them has He set a tabernacle for the sun, which is as a bridegroom coming out of His chamber, and rejoices as a strong man to run a race. His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit to the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof.”
I believe the “speech” and “knowledge” going out in day and night refers to His angels….giving people the Word in their hearts…..showing them the nearness of God…in their hearts and minds, that knows no language barrier.
God Himself is seeking the hearts of people, to embody His bride. He calls, and it is up to each person to make the choice to listen or not.
“There is nothing hid from the heat thereof”….Nothing and no one on earth can be so hidden that he can’t sense God. The “heat” of His great love and mercy burn through even our deepest thoughts. Even if a person is raised as a heathen, he cannot escape the “heat” of the presence of God.
It is only in rejecting Him that people are blinded to Him and can no longer sense His presence. The longer the person rejects Him, the more blinded they get. Then the time comes when they fit ps. 10: 4-6 above, and He will have to reject them.
On the other hand, those that accept Jesus as Lord of their lives, have no fear of losing Him: Ps. 34:22…,“The Lord redeems the soul of His servants: and none of them that trust in Him shall be desolate.”
What a wonderful promise, along with many more in His Word for Believers who trust in Jesus Christ.
Back to those who rejected Him: He says in
Jeremiah 7:19.…, “Do they provoke Me to anger? Says the Lord: Do they not provoke themselves to the confusion of their own faces?”
************ That is another way of saying what Paul said in ……..that He finally gives them what they have been seeking—–great distance from Him. They have such pride that they think they don’t need Him, so He leaves them alone………We see this in many people now. As satan has been let lose to test the human race for the end times, we will see this attitude grow, along with the blindness that follows. God is not cruel, He has given all those people many chances, and they have heard His voice, but have rejected it.
He cannot have anyone in His Bridal Chamber who is not totally dedicated to Him. Everyone must be tested, and a great testing is yet to come!!!!
