COMPROMISE IS SIN

COMPROMISE IS SIN Christians today (even new believers) need to be drawn to Jesus Christ by a different reason other than escape from punishment. Don’t get me wrong…I am not preaching “another Gospel”, the Salvation message remains exactly the same. Jesus Christ died for each of us and that is the only pathway to salvation. But, we are in a time in history when we must be concerned with more than ourselves. Evil is on the rise. Our walk with the Lord can no longer be self-centered. Our focus needs to be on the spiritual realm and look at events and experiences through the eyes of Our Father in heaven. Political events, and especially political propaganda will pull us in the opposite direction, but, as children of God, we must remember that we are also soldiers of the One True God. We are at war. We are not ‘back at camp’. Along with the increased evil, is increased enlightenment from the Holy Spirit. Many will fall for the evil, but also many will be drawn by the Wonderful Love of the Holy Spirit. This is not a time when the Holy Spirit is drawing people to the kingdom on a cloud of Joy and Prosperity. We are called to STAND FIRM on the Word of God and present the Truth for the Holy Spirit to open the eyes of people of this world to the evils of compromise, which blocks the entrance of the Holy Spirit in each of us, as well as hindering His Work in and through us. Compromise is what brought on the first sin in the Garden of Eden. Compromise is what caused 1/3 of the angels to revolt and follow Lucifer. Compromise is what brings about EVERY SIN in every human being that ever lived, and ever will live. James 1:14-15 tells us: “4 but every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. 15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.” Lust isn’t always sexual. It can be any desire that is not in the will of God. Excusing sin in others is the same as sinning. It is not our job to punish individuals, but when we see sin running rampant in society, it is our job to stand against it with the Word of God. “having done all, to stand, ” Ephesians 6:13 What we have to do in order to stand with Our Lord, is listed in Ephesians chapter 6. It would be good to read and study that, because it shows us how to have a well-balanced life in the Lord, both “horizontal” (with other people) and “vertical” (our relationship to Our Lord). With these things on our mind, making our lives as close to what we know God wants, we must go to the Lord in prayer and repentance often, asking Him to show us any beginnings of compromise, which will inevitably lead to a breakdown in our relationship with Him. We must read the scriptures deeply and often, asking for discernment, and not just the “soft” words, about grace, but also, and especially, the “hard words”. Hebrews 4:12 says: “For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. “Featured image We should read the commands of God’s Word with an internal eye on our lives. Our soul (emotions, mind) should not be following the doctrines and values of this world, but purely on the Word of God. This is what He means by dividing the soul and spirit. Our true heart-felt intentions will come out in how much we love the Word of God, and how much we obey it. These things have to become habits that grow to consume more and more of our lives because the deceptions in this world are growing, and will overcome us, until we cannot discern the voice of the Lord. How we live our lives matters GREATLY. Jesus didn’t die for us to live for this world, and believe the lies put forth by the enemy. We are here to develop our relationship with Jesus Christ and the Father, and to stand with Him for the Kingdom of God!!! Its time Christians realize that our lives are not about us, ITS ABOUT HIM!!!! Let us not go to the right or to the left Joshua 1:7 “Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper withersoever thou goest”. This is more important than many realize. Since we were saved, the Holy Spirit lives in our spirits, and we are temples of the Holy Spirit: 1 Corinthians 6:19 “What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?” Our bodies are the home and temple of the God of the Universe! We are to keep it as clean spiritually as God commanded for the material cleanliness of His Temple. 2 Chronicles 29:16 And the priests went into the inner part of the house of the Lord, to cleanse it, and brought out all the uncleanness that they found in the temple of the Lord into the court of the house of the Lord. And the Levites took it, to carry it out abroad into the brook Kidron. The Brook Kidron was used as a symbol throughout the Old Testament as a sign of sins forgiven when a person (or people) truly repents of that sin. When the chosen people sinned and served idols, God had the idols burned and the ashes dumped into the Brook Kidron. The Holy Spirit will pray continually within our spirits, even when we cannot pray, or don’t know how to pray in the will of God. Our position, our stance, our state of spiritual cleanliness is of the utmost importance so we do not hinder the Holy Spirit from praying for us and interceding for others. Our stance, and our standing against the evils of this world, is also incredibly important in the spiritual warfare that is continually going on around us. If we are obedient to Our Lord, the angels are more powerful in battle. Compromise should be far from every Christian in these days especially!!! When the world calls something a “lifestyle”, God calls it sin….we MUST call it sin, or face the consequences with God along with the sinners. Make no mistake……COMPROMISE is a SIN!!!
