ONE WITH THE FATHER

John 17: 23-24

23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.

24 Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.

For the one-ness with Jesus Christ, it is good to read all of John Chapter 17. This is Jesus’ prayer for us (believers in the One True God as revealed by Jesus Christ as Our Savior)

Knowing Jesus Christ and making Him the Lord of our lives, makes us one with Jesus, and one with the Father….the One True God, Creator of the Universe, the earth, and all things.

He, Almighty God, loves US! Considering that God is Love (1John 4:8), how much LOVE is that???? Just stop to think about that for a moment!

All the power that created the Universe, is made of LOVE!

All the wisdom that went into the laws of nature is made of LOVE

All the wisdom that went into the biological phenomenon of all living things, is made of LOVE

All the omnipotent power of the One True God is made of LOVE

All the omniscient wisdom of all things—from microscopic to immense—from the Sparrow, and the hairs on our heads to the immensity beyond our knowledge, is the wisdom of LOVE

The LOVE which is GOD is omni-present—-everywhere, all the the time, at the same time.

And this LOVE, this ALMIGHTY GOD, is given to US…..

Jesus asked that this LOVE be one with us!!!!

This is something our minds aren’t able to grasp. We cannot grasp the immensity of God, much less the immensity of His LOVE given to US!!!!

But what is even more mind-blowing is that Jesus asked (and the Father always grants the prayers of Jesus) that we would be with Him where He is, to behold His Glory from before the foundation of the world.

When Jesus comes to earth to destroy and judge the wicked ones, we will be there. When He goes to put His feet down on the mount in Jerusalem, we will be there! When the wolf dwells with the Lamb in the New Earth, we will be there with Our Lord!!!  This promise is quote below:

Since time will be no more (Rev. 10:6), we will also be with Him before the beginning of time, before the creation of the world, the universe, and all things, …before the fall of Lucifer, when it was just the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

The Father will answer the prayer of Jesus, and we will be able to be with Him for eternity without time!!!!

What are the qualifications of those who will be one with the Father?

They are the “overcomers”…those who stay with Jesus Christ throughout their lives, trust fully in Him, desiring His Will in all things, giving their lives to Him, and repenting of all sin within themselves.

These things are a joy to do when we truly know the Lord! These are the light burdens He speaks of in Matthew 11:30, which we receive in exchange for our heavy burdens which come from self-dependence.
