WE STAND ALONE BEFORE OUR GOD
WE STAND ALONE BEFORE OUR GOD
Whether you are a professed Christian, opposed to Christianity, or somewhere in between, you and I WILL stand before the God of the Universes in judgment.
True believing Christians are assured of spending eternity with Our Lord, but we will also be judged according to our deeds and attitudes on this earth. Our works will be “tested by fire”, and the straw and stubble will be burned up, only leaving the gold which we received from Our Lord during our stay on earth.
Paul explains this in 1Corinthians chapter 2, vs 11-15
“ For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;
13 Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is.
14 If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.
15 If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.”
Our time on this earth will determine how and where we spend eternity….FOREVER!
God didn’t create us to have a good time, but to spend our lives getting to know Him, as we enjoy His creation, other people, and fellowship with Him.
We need the Old Testament, along with the New, to find the whole person of God. It shows God’s Grace, Love and peace. But it also shows His justice. When we see the entire picture that He wants us to see, we understand that His Grace is so much more beautiful in the light of His Law and Justice.
Just as the Israelites fought physical battles against demonic groups and pagan worshippers, so we fight spiritual battles against principalities in our homes, jobs, government, churches, and personal lifes. If we are Christians, we are a soldier, and seeing how God dealt with the armies, we can learn much about what He wants us to do.
The Old Testament can teach us a lot about ourselves, by learning how God responded to His Chosen people by teaching them obedience, repentance, and forgiveness, sometimes with punishment.
Many times in the Old Testament times, the Chosen People, strayed from God. They wanted a king instead of a prophet, because they wanted to be like other nations, and they didn’t want God “telling them what to do”. They thought they didn’t need God, and they could make all their own decisions without Him.
Let’s project this to the individual living today. Does this line of thinking sound familiar?
There are many people, and maybe you’re one of them, who believes that mankind can stand on its own…..that we appeared, or evolved by accident, but somehow, we developed to be superior to all!
I won’t get into all the questions that that theory brings up, but, I think if you really imagine that possibility, you will have to agree that plant life, animal life, or man, would never have survived the dangers they encountered during the transitions which took thousands of years (?) !!
Extremely complex methods of obtaining and processing food, you would have to agree, couldn’t be developed instantaneously. They took a long time, and the creatures could not survive without these processes.
So, back to God, who said,
1 Corinthians 3:11Easy-to-Read Version (ERV)
11 The foundation that has already been built is Jesus Christ, and no one can build any other foundation.
In the days of the Old Testament, there was no Holy Spirit in the people, prophets were the voice of God. But, the people rejected the prophets, and, in so doing, rejected the voice of God, by wanting an earthly king.
In modern days, many Christians are rejecting the personal fellowship with the Lord because it is easier to sit in a pew and let the pastor do the work (like the king). Let Him spend time with the Lord and in the Word during the week, and we’ll just soak it up for an hour or two once a week.
This kind of life was NEVER the Lord’s intention for creating and saving us, His people. He said that “obedience is better than sacrifice.” How can we obey when we aren’t spending time with Him in order to hear His voice? We need to fit ourselves to hear Him. Time in the Word and Prayer, and especially sitting in His Presence in the spirit ….all are ESSENTIAL!!!
We need this, not only in the “boot camp” of our walk with the Lord, but more and more, as our lives with Him progress, and the world moves on in the End Times scenario.
Remember, the ones whom Jesus said He didn’t know, (Mt. 7:23) were people who claimed to know Him and work for Him! We need to know Him the way He desires, not the minimum that man-made church laws require.
We need to have an attitude of wanting Our Lord’s will in our lives ALWAYS…and be constantly in a state of obedience and repentance, being willing to take chastisement if necessary.
Whenever our conscience is appeased, we can be sure we are not seeking God, because God will show us our faults. We will be conscious of our weakness, failures, and sin, when in His presence, but we will also feel His grace, and love, knowing He will help us change to become more and more what He wants us to be. When in His Arms, we fear nothing, knowing that the God of the Universe holds us!!!!
There is no more wonderful place to be than in the spiritual presence of God—-That is where He gives us that “peace that surpasses understanding” that we so desperately need to cope with life.
This can only be felt after wholehearted repentance of anything we may have done knowingly or unknowingly, to receive the grace that is the pathway for His peace and love, wisdom, and guidance.
I tell you all these things because the time is coming……we don’t know when, but signs are here showing that it is not too far off…..that it won’t be permitted to write Christian things anywhere, or speak them, and certainly not to congregate as a church. This is already happening in many parts of the world, and will someday be in the entire world.
At that time, you will not have a pastor, or parent, or neighbor to tell you what the Lord is saying. Each of us will have to have our personal relationship with Our Lord developed so that our spirits will hear the Holy Spirit in all things. Then we will have the wisdom, courage, faith and strength we will need to persevere through His will for us in this world.
Ultimately, in this life, and eternity, we each stand alone before God.
Would you want to be there as His friend, His foe, or a stranger?

If others that read this would take it to heart things would be so much better for all… in reading this it reminds me of so many I meet in the field daily that are seeking the Lord but they never seem to grow and I am sure its because of there not really seeking the Lord with there whole heart , again thanks for taking the time to listen to God and write this message , my prayers are that those that read this take it to heart and allow God to make the changes in there lives to be effective for Him !
