GOD’S WORD FOR JUNE 18
GOD’S WORD FOR JUNE 18
Philippians 4:8 (Amplified Bible)—Finally, believers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable and worthy of respect, whatever is right and confirmed by God’s word, whatever is pure and wholesome, whatever is lovely and brings peace, whatever is admirable and of good repute; if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think continually on these things [center your mind on them, and implant them in your heart]. “Thank You Lord for reminding us to keep our minds on the right line. This is like many other scriptures, to keep our minds stayed on thee, and to take every thought captive to the Lord Jesus Christ, and also to esteem others as better than ourselves. This isn’t “positive thinking” like the false teachers push. Nor is it saying that all people are “inherently good”, because we know that we are not. You make that clear in Scripture, including “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” and “Every thought of man is evil from the beginning.” I believe what You are telling us in this verse is that we need to focus our thoughts on You, and Your Grace to all of us, after You brought our spirits to life, and you are renewing our minds. We need to agree with You on that line, training our minds to see what YOU are doing in peoples’ hearts, to renew all our minds and
hearts to honor You, and love our fellow man, even as we hate the evil that surrounds us. We can get disheartened and discouraged if we focus on the evil in this world. We need to focus on what You have done and are doing through Your people. Even as Your creation groans for deliverance from sin in the world, still, You are pouring forth Your Holy Spirit to guard, guide, and renew us, while giving us grace, forgiveness and wisdom. These are the things we need to focus on so we can give all the glory to You!!! We do that, Father, …give all the glory to You as we await our deliverance from the evil in this world. We praise You for salvation as we ask for Your help to obey Your commands. We ask these things in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior”.

If you’re not sure how to be saved, and receive the promises in the Bible, feel free to message me, or talk to another true born again Christian. Jesus died for all of us. No one is excluded, no one is “too far gone”. He came to seek those who are lost, and, although He is fully God, He became man to suffer and die for YOU. But you need to accept this free gift. Go to Him sincerely, He WILL show you.
Amen
