GOD’S WORD FOR JUNE 17
Philippians 4:6-7 (Amplified Bible)
“ Do not be anxious or worried about anything, but in everything [every circumstance and situation] by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, continue to make your [specific] requests known to God. And the peace of God [that peace which reassures the heart, that peace] which transcends all understanding, [that peace which] stands guard over your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus [is yours].” Dear Lord, we praise You and thank You for Your control of every circumstance in our lives. You have thousands of direct promises in Your Word that promise that You will take care of us. Most of the time, people don’t take them seriously, and we think things won’t turn out good unless WE take care of it. This is blasphemous to You. It is calling You a liar, Lord. We need to see the seriousness of doing for ourselves instead of living by faith. Things have been too good for Christians in this nation, We may be awakened soon to a very different situation, where we cannot control it ourselves., I pray that the church will be ready for this, and able to trust You. If we don’t start now, it will be very difficult to do. Thank You for the great peace that You give us when we fully trust You. The anxiety just melts away, as we think about the fact that only You can control the things in our lives. This is the peace that surpasses understanding, that guards our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Thank You for that offer, Lord, and I pray that Your people take hold of it. We know that we can come boldly to Your throne because of the shed blood of Your Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord.
