GOD’S WORD FOR SEPTEMBER 7
Deuteronomy 7:9 “Know therefore that the Lord your God, He is God. The faithful God, who keeps His covenant and His lovingkindness to a thousandth generation with those who love Him and keep His commandments.” When we are saved, we enter into an agreement, a “covenant” with God. His part is salvation, and bountiful and powerful nurturing in this life and eternal happiness in the next. Our part is to take hold of the promises of salvation, protection, guidance, peace, wisdom, love, joy, and all the others, and to renounce our former sins, and to live the new life He gives us as new Creatures in Christ.
It is a life that is full of rewards as we become more and more one with Him.
