GOD’S WORD FOR SEPTEMBER 9

Psalm 34:8– “Oh taste and see that the Lord is good; how blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him!” God is our standard of goodness—perfection—which we could never achieve on our own. We praise You Lord God, that Your Son Jesus our Lord, gave us more than a taste of Your goodness. You promised we would be one with You because of Your plan of Salvation. We take refuge in You now, in this evil and hideous world system in which we are living, although we are not citizens of it. We are citizens of Your Kingdom, with You as our only King. We rest under the shadow of Your wings, but we stand for You against the evil, in Your righteousness. Guide us, we pray, and may Jesus show through us. In His wonderful name, we pray this.
