GOD’S WORD FOR SEPTEMBER 11

Psalm 36:5 “Your lovingkindness, O Lord, extends to the heavens, Your faithfulness reaches to the skies.”  King David, who wrote many, if not most, of the psalms, went through many trials in his life.  Many times the situations looked utterly hopeless, as, not only the things of life as a king were upon him, but enemies within his own family, close friends, including his wife.  He made mistakes, to be sure.  Very serious ones.   But He always knew and experienced the lovingkindness of God, which extended far beyond his own life.  He knew that it extended to the throne of God, to the very heart of the Trinity,  and back again to his own repentant heart.  And so it is with us.  God will never forsake us, He will never refuse forgiveness and love when we come to Him sincerely.  Thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness in loving, caring for, and forgiving your small, weak children who love You.
