GOD’S WORD FOR NOVEMBER 18 ~ ~ “Jesus answered, “You could have no power at all against Me unless it had been given you from above…” All power is given by God. All life is given by God. All Faith, Grace, Joy, Peace, strength, etc. is given by God. Even if the power and life are used for evil, used to serve the devil, it was still given by God. The power that they perceive to have can be taken away in an instant. Therefore, whatever is done, is done by the allowing of God. He allows evil to progress for several reasons,some of which are….testing of believers, progression of the entire work of Salvation as a whole, development of faith and courage in believers, to show us how much we need Him personally. Let’s not let this whole situation “go to waste” in our relationship with Christ. Let’s study His Word, repent of our sins, and develop further our relationship with Him, finding out how we are to stand in the victory of Christ over the this evil. What we do about the world around us, greatly determines how our personal relationship with Him is going. Heavenly Father, we humble ourselves before You, and we ask for the faith, strength and wisdom to know what we can do to stand for Truth and righteousness in this wicked world. We thank You that You will never give us a command without giving us the resources to carry it out. For this, and much more, we thank You and praise You. We ask these things in the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
