GOD’S WORD FOR NOVEMBER 19 ~ ~Psalm 32:8 ~ ~ “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye” The original plan at creation was that we would be guided continually by God. Adam and Eve were guided that way, and had personal fellowship with God in the garden. They literally walked and talked with Him. That’s what awaits believers on the New Earth for eternity. But through the Holy Spirit and through our one-ness with Christ because of Salvation, we can have His guidance for our lives now. It’ll take a little work, though. The powerful Christian life isn’t a cake walk. You can’t have it by watching TV, or spending time on Tic Toc. Games won’t do it either. It involves time spent in the Word, thinking about His promises AND HIS COMMANDS. It’s developing a spirit of thanksgiving, watching for even little things that He does and thanking Him for them. Even busy lives can do this. With the products available now, we can listen to His Word while working. If we show Him that it is our desire to have this relationship, He will give us the greater desire and the ability to do what is needed to obey Him. He is always talking to us, but are we listening with our spiritual ears? That is up to us.
