GOD’S WORD FOR MARCH 4 ~ ~ 2Corinthians 12:9 ~ ~ “And He has said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.’ Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me.” The tense of the verb phrase, “is sufficient” means “ is, and will continue to be”. In other words, when God refuses to take something away, as He did for Paul in these verses, He promises the grace, and strength to be able to endure it while relying upon Him. So Paul learned that his weakness, whatever the “thorn” was in his life, brought him closer to knowing Jesus in a much deeper way as he leaned even harder upon Him. We should deal with problems in our own lives the same way. Any and every problem will draw us closer to Him when we rely on His Grace to get through it.
