GOD’S WORD FOR JUNE 21~ ~ Isaiah 55:12~ ~ “For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands”

Did you know that creation worships its Creator? There are many places in the Bible that say so. In fact, Jesus said that if we didn’t praise Him, the rocks would cry out in praise!!!!

Plants and animals also worship Him in their beauty, their usefulness, and their cooperation with each other.

He tells us bout the lilies of the field, referring, I am sure, to all flowers and blossums.

Blossums are not only beautiful and uplifting for those who see them, they are useful and complicated.

It takes a lot of energy from the plant to fertilize the blossum for the fruit. The male pollen cells need to travel from the anthers of the flowers on one cherry tree, to the stigma of another. To attract the right pollinator, the blossoms must be the right color, the right shape, and the right size. This could be different with every plant.

There are many different insects and birds that perform the job of pollinating blossums, so the flowers have to accommodate the right insects that will do the job perfectly for them. Their colors, aromas, shape, size, accessability and other factors vary greatly.

It is ridiculous to suppose that these perfect situations “just happened” to evolve to make the perfect matches. One year of getting it wrong could mean the extinction of the plant, and hunger of other animals because of lack of fruit. No, they were the way they are from the beginning. God was and is the matchmaker!

Like the stars of the heavens, bright flowers tell forth the glory of God.

Another amazing thing that few people know is that God flows His aroma through us, diffusing it like the aroma of a flower blossum, to the world.

2Corinthians 2:14-15 ~ ~ “ Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place. For we are to God the fragrance of Christ among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing.”

As I believe everything He created has its counterpart in the spiritual world, we can look around us and see that His Glory shines in His creation, whether it is in the twinkling stars of heaven, or the sweet smelling flower blossum.

Not only does He diffuse aroma, He loves to smell beautiful things. Many, many times in the Word it talks about God smelling sweet aromas from the earth from His people. Is that why He made the beautiful and sweet smelling blossums in creation? I’m sure that’s part of it.

We need to know that He is a Person, not just a force, as some say. We need to get to know Him through Jesus. In fact, if we don’t get to know Jesus, and make Him our Lord and everything to us, we will never see God the Father.

Wouldn’t that be a foolish decision?

Prayer: Thank You, Lord, that all the beautiful blossoms around us, like the lilies of the field, are beautiful. Yet, like the lilies of the field, they are temporary, and they fade away. You tell us that we are worth more than the lilies, and more than the beautiful blossoms. Please lead our families and friends to Jesus for salvation, to know Your wonderful love for them. Thank You for Your great love for us. Amen.
