GOD’S WORD FOR JULY 1~ ~ Job 11;7 ~ ~ “Can you fathom the mysteries of God? Can you probe the limits of the Almighty?”

What is the most complex thing that God ever made? Is it the Universe with it’s uncountable stars? Is it the tiny atom that makes up all things? Some people think it’s the human brain, and I tend to agree.

If we knew all that there is to know about it, we would be sure of it. After all, God created man in His own image. We’ll never be as full of wisdom as He is, but our brain is created to be able to absorb His wisdom to the degree that He sees fit.

Our brain is busy. More than 100,000 chemical reactions occur within our brain PER SECOND!

Another thing we don’t think about, is that thinking is work! (well, we knew that, right?) But, what we maybe didn’t know is that intense thinking can be as physically exhausting as a physical workout, and can burn as many calories!!!! (That opens the door for analysis that shouldn’t be pursued (smile))

Along with controlling all our thoughts, memories, bodily functions, and movements, our brain is also a chemical factory for our bodies. It produces over 50 different drugs that we need to control our movements, emotions, thoughts and moods. The sedative endorphin, a pain killer produced in our brain, is three times more potent than morphine. That probably explains why sometimes, after a tragic accident, people in shock have walked with broken bones.

Seratonin moderates our moods, and Dopamine affects how excitable we become, to some extent. There are other hormones for hunger, and for the many chemicals that our physical body and organs need to function properly and to heal.

As if that’s not enough, it is also a radio transmitter, sending out electromagnetic signals. Surprisingly, it has been known to send signals for as long as 37 hours after death!!!!!

So much we don’t know!!!! So glad we know the God who does know all! Let’s tap into that source, and put ourselves in a relationship with Him to know Him for eternity!!!
