GOD’S WORD FOR JULY 25
GOD’S WORD FOR JULY 25 ~ ~ Luke 11;21~ ~ “When a strong man armed keeps his palace, his goods are in peace….”
James 4:7 ~ ~ “Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.”
The Lord of all recognized that in a sinful world we must be prepared to protect ourselves. The same is true in our spiritual lives, and in the animal and plant world. When they try to explain this truth using evolutionary thinking, there are some serious difficulties.
There are many plants that have effective defenses against the insects that attack them. For example, a plant called Bursera defends itself with poisons that squirt from its leaves when a certain beetle larva attempts to feed on it. However, the larvae have learned to chew on a particular part of the leaf first. When they do this they disable the plant’s defense system and can munch away on the leaf without fear of harm.
This is an amazing series of creational protection plans. God gives us no clue as to why He “leveled the playing field” for the beetle, but for His Children, He protects us with no leveling for the enemy.
He is clearly the Conqueror over Satan, and when we are truly His, we are totally protected within His will.
Ephesians 6:12 ~ ~ “ For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.”
Because of the total defeat of satan on the cross, we have victory if we’ve submitted totally to Him and have accepted our salvation through Him ALONE, knowing that anything we do,~ ~ rituals, prayers, good works ~ ~ will not gain us salvation, but after we’re saved, our worship, prayers, and good works are done BECAUSE of the salvation that He gained for us, not to gain it ourselves through those things.
There are always struggles in this world for all His created creatures ~ ~ including us, but we have a choice to accept His payment for our sins and live with Him forever, in joy, Love and abundance, or to continue struggling, trying to save ourselves, without being sure, and end up in hellfire forever, separated from the God we thought we were working to please.
Only perfection can enter heaven, and none of us can have perfection without accepting the perfection offered to us by Christ. Anything else is another deception of satan.
