GOD’S WORD FOR OCTOBER 22~ ~ 1 Kings 8:23 ~ ~ “And he said, LORD God of Israel, [there is] no God like thee, in heaven above, or on earth beneath, who keepest covenant and mercy with thy servants that walk before thee with all their heart…”

If we could harness all of the sun’s energy that reaches the Earth, we would have more than enough energy to fill all our energy needs – even if the entire world became as industrialized as the west. Yet, less than 0.10% of all of the sun’s energy output reaches the Earth! What is going on within the sun to create so much energy?

Most people have heard that the sun produces its energy through nuclear fusion. Most scientists admit that the real answer isn’t that simple.

We know the real answer. It’s written in the Book of Genesis 1:14-19 on the fourth day of Creation.

Then God said, “Let there be lights in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night, and they shall serve as signs and for seasons, and for days and years; 15 and they shall serve as lights in the expanse of the heavens to give light on the earth”; and it was so. 16 God made the two great lights, the greater light to govern the day, and the lesser light to govern the night; He made the stars also. 17 God placed them in the expanse of the heavens to give light on the earth, 18 and to govern the day and the night, and to separate the light from the darkness; and God saw that it was good. 19 And there was evening and there was morning, a fourth day”

Some people, in their attempt to criticize the creation week as told us by the Word of God, will say that it’s false because He said “let there be light” on day one, but He didn’t create the sun until day 4.

This criticism comes from a lack of knowledge of just Who God is.

God is light.

1John 1:5 says: “This is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you, that God is Light, and in Him there is no darkness at all.”

The Holy Spirit was hovering over the waters. All things were created through the Son. The Trinity was there, in all His Glory and Light! Of course His light shone on the whole earth and far beyond!

He created the sun, not primarily to light the earth, but for signs and seasons.

Genesis 1:14 ~ ~ “Then God said, “Let there be lights in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night, and they shall serve as signs and for seasons, and for days and years;”

Man is weak and fallible. We need rest and sleep, and we need a time for that.

In the end, during the millennium and after, (on the new earth) Christ will be the light. There will be no need for the sun.

Revelation 22:5

“And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.”

The sun is not the light of the world———–Jesus Christ is!!!
