GOD’S WORD FOR NOVEMBER 4 ~ ~ John 1:3~ ~ “All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.”

In the mid 80’s biologists searched for a strange sound coming from a bay that disrupted the sleep of residents. Soon, the toadfish – also known as the singing fish – was identified as the source of the sounds.

The droning noise was actually male fish offering their mating call to attract females. All fish have gas or air bladders that act in the same way as a submarine’s ballast tanks. The gas bladder adjusts to pressure changes, thereby helping fish stay at the depth they desire.

A few fish, including the toadfish, have a set of muscles that rapidly vibrate the air bladder. The bladder then acts as a resonating chamber, and the sound is transmitted into the water.

Communication is part of God’s plan, not only for humans, but all of His creation. The method is as varied as the creatures themselves.

But the most important communication is the true child of God, a recipient of His personal salvation, communicating with his Lord and Savior. He hears us when we speak, and even when we have a flitting thought, He knows. He is always waiting for us to talk to Him, and to listen to Him, as He speaks through our spirits after we are made a new creation in Him.

Isaiah 65:24

“It will also come to pass that before they call, I will answer; while they are still speaking, I will listen.”

2 Chronicles 16:9 “For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him …”

Jeremiah 31:3

“The Lord appeared to me long ago, saying,
‘I have loved you with an everlasting love;
Therefore I have drawn you out with kindness.’”
