GOD’S WORD FOR NOVEMBER 3
NOVEMBER 3 ~ ~ Genesis 1:2~ ~ “And God created great whales, and every living creature that move, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good.”
What looks like seaweed with eyes and a snout? It’s a big scary sea dragon. Well, not really big, and not really scary. The longest is about 18 inches long. But they are strange.
The shapes of sea dragons are the most varied and unusual in the animal world, and their colors are among the brightest. Unlike other fish, they have no scales.
They draw tiny marine organisms into their mouths through a trap door jaw that opens and closes more rapidly than the human eye can follow.
The eyes of the sea dragon move independently of each other. And when it’s time to start a family, it is the father sea dragon who incubates the fertilized eggs in a pouch in his tail.
See horses do this, because they are one type of sea dragon.
Sometimes I think God creates strange creatures just to throw off those who think they have Him figured out.
Every sea dragon is different, just as each of us is different. It is so amazing that the Eternal, all-knowing, all-present, all-powerful, all just, Creator and Judge of the universe, cares about the tiny sweet sparrow, the silly-looking sea dragon, and you and me—-all so insignificant, and yet, so uniquely made by the Master of all!!!!
Matthew 10:29 ~ ~ “Are two sparrows not sold for an assarion? And yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father.”
Psalm 139:3-6 ~ ~ “You scrutinize my path and my lying down,
And are acquainted with all my ways.
Even before there is a word on my tongue,
Behold, Lord, You know it all.
You have encircled me behind and in front,
And placed Your hand upon me.
Such knowledge is too wonderful for me;
It is too high, I cannot comprehend it.
Isaiah 49:15 ~ ~ “Can a woman forget her nursing child
And have no compassion on the son of her womb?
Even these may forget, but I will not forget you.”
Have you acknowledged His great love for you in that He suffered to pay the price
for your sins? Or are you working to save yourself, thereby calling Your Savior a liar?
Tell Him today that you trust Him to take your sins upon Himself and put them in the deep pool of forgiveness forever. Ask Him to make Psalm 103:12 a reality for you. It won’t happen until you ask!
Psalm 103:12 ~ ~ “As far as the east is from the west, So far has He removed our sins from us.”
