GOD’S WORD FOR NOVEMBER 6
GOD’S WORD FOR NOVEMBER 6 ~ ~ Psalm 148:5 ~ ~ “Let them praise the name of the Lord, For He commanded and they were created.”
Years ago, evolutionary scientists labeled 180 human organs, such as the appendix, as vestiges left over from evolution. The fact is they did not know the function these organs actually served. Since that time, it has been learned that all of these organs have useful functions that they have been created to do.
Now a similar situation is shaping up with DNA. As scientists learned what the different segments of DNA do, they also found segments that appeared to have no function. These segments have often been referred to as “junk DNA”. Predictably, evolutionists have suggested that these apparently useless segments of DNA are left over from our evolutionary history.
But, like the so-called vestigial organs, most of the so-called “junk DNA” has already been proven to have an important job, and I’m sure in the future, they will find that to be true with the few that they haven’t yet found.
God doesn’t make “junk”, and He wastes nothing. What is true of individual organs is also true of individual people in the Body of Christ, His spiritual church.
Each of us has a purpose on this earth, and that is to give Glory to God.
“To the end that my glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks unto thee for ever.”
What’s more:
“The Lord hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.”
The everlasting love spoken of in Jeremiah above means everlasting on both ends. Because God always was and always will be, He has loved us as much from eternity past as He will in eternity future
if we are His.
“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil,…”
Our lives were planned before the earth was created! Where we live, what we do, how we’ll serve Him, all was in the mind and heart of our God and Creator since eternity past ~ ~
“The Lord created and possessed me at the beginning of His way, Before His works of old [were accomplished]”.
Consider how important each of His children (who are trusting in Him alone for their salvation) is to Him. Everything in our lives are planned by Him.
And no one is a “useless” organ in the Body of Christ!!!
