GOD’S WORD FOR MAY 5 ~ ~ Romans 5:5 (Amp) ~ ~ “Such hope (in God’s promises) never disappoints us, because God’s love has been abundantly poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.”
Today’s gift from the Bridegroom to the bride is trust, or hope in all the promises of God
First of all, whenever we see the word “hope” in the Word of God, we think of it a different way in English than the writer did in Greek. For us, that word brings up the concept of “maybe”. “I hope that happens.”. That is NOT what it means in the original language!!! What Paul was saying was “surety”. It is a reality, beyond question.
Our hope of eternal life with Christ, isn’t a nail-biting, maybe, it is a DEFINITE REALITY that is done already. We just haven’t seen it here yet. Everything in the Word has been done in the spiritual reality, and we’re waiting for it to be manifest in the material realm.
That’s puzzling if we think in our limited minds, but if we see things from God’s eyes, it isn’t hard. He lives beyond time. There are no limits on Him, including time. We’re living in the realm of time, He is not.
From His perspective, time is already done. The end of time has already happened. It’s just “playing out” here. So, we know these things will happen for sure. If God said it, It has happened already.
We are assured of the reliability of ALL of God’s promises because of His Love. His Love is a huge part of the gift of the Resurrection. His entire salvation plan was built around Him, and He is Love. He not only has lots of love. HE IS LOVE.
“He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.”
Imagine creating everything—–that’s EVERYTHING (!) with LOVE! In fact, He created Love itself! It’s powerful!!!
God loves you. He always has and He always will. This is something that is important to remember as you go through your life. There is nothing that you can do to make God stop loving you. There is nothing that you can do to make God love you more.
He doesn’t love you for anything you have done or have not done. It has nothing to do with us. Tha’s why we don’t earn it, nor can we push it away. It is in HIM, He just LOVES!!!
Romans 8:38-39 ~ ~ “For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
God’s love is why He sent His Son into the world. John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.”
Romans 5:8 shows how God demonstrated His love. “But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Jesus died for your sins before you were even born. Before you ever called out to Him, God sent His Son to earth for your sins. This is where God shows His love.
You. Yes, you. God loves you and wants to save you.
