GOD’S WORD FOR AUGUST 5
August 5~~Jeremiah 33:2-3 (Amplified Bible)
“Thus says the Lord who made the earth, the Lord who formed it to establish it—the Lord is His name, ‘Call to Me and I will answer you, and tell you [and even show you] great and mighty things, [things which have been confined and hidden], which you do not know and understand and cannot distinguish.”
This verse first directs us to think about the majesty of God-~~ His omnipotence—He is all powerful, there is nothing more powerful, and His Omniscience—He knows all things—ALL things~~ and the fact that He is everywhere at all times. But with all that, the most wonderful thing is that He cares about each of us. When we talk to Him, It’s as if we are the only one in the world….He cares that much. If you were the only person in the world, Jesus would have suffered and died JUST for you. He will answer our sincere prayers and questions—always. Once we are saved, He speaks through our enlivened spirits, and He really does tell us of the things described. That’s why in Revelations it speaks of a new name that we will get, that no one else knows—it is the description of that personal relationship we each have with Him from our earthly life that will extend throughout eternity. If you are saved, you have all that. If you haven’t taken that step, you can, and should, do it right now. You can Have that relationship with the God of the Universe that will last forever. Just acknowledge that you have sinned and can never be perfect, (because perfection is what it takes to go to heaven,) and that you accept Jesus’ substitution for paying for your sins to satisfy the laws of God. That’s all—just be sincere, and live for Him for your life—and He will even help you do that, because none of us can even do that on our own. He helps us with EVERYTHING we can encounter in this life, and He will tell and show us those great and mighty things. God cannot lie, and He cannot fail. Therefore, every Word of God is true.
