Hebrews 11:13 (Amp) ~~ “These people all died controlled and sustained by their faith, but not having received the tangible fulfillment of [God’s] promises, only having seen it and greeted it from a great distance by faith, and all the while acknowledging and confessing that they were strangers and temporary residents and exiles upon the earth.” Many people lose heart when their prayers aren’t answered after a long period of time. Our prayers should all be eternity-oriented, and in the will of God. Only He knows what is the best. On the other hand, we may never know if our long-term prayers will be answered. The Bible lists many people in the Old Testament who had their prayers answered generations later, sometimes hundreds of years later, in God’s time and wisdom. All we need to concentrate on, is wanting the perfect will of God in our lives and that of our family.
