GOD’S WORD FOR JANUARY 25 ~ ~ Joshua 1:9~ ~ “ Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

God spoke these words to Joshua after Moses died, and the entire, huge group of Jewish people, who were in the wilderness, at the border of the Promised Land. The formidable task of leading these people, and fighting for possession of the Promised Land fell on the shoulders of Joshua. But, with the faith and the promise given Him, Joshua knew the task wasn’t his, but the Lord’s, and the people weren’t his, but the Lord’s. We have inherited that faith and that promise if we’re living for Jesus Christ. He has promised numerous times throughout the Word that He is always with us, will never leave us, and that our battles are His. Why don’t we really know this? Every word is true in His Word. Absolutely true.
