GOD’S WORD FOR FEBRUARY 2 ~ ~ Hebrews 13:5-6 ~ ~ “Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, ‘I will never leave you nor forsake you.’  So we may boldly say: ‘The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?’” It’s harder to trust the Lord when we’re discontent and looking at what others have. Be content, He tells us, and then trust Him for what we need, and don’t need—as a matter of lifestyle, each day. Then, when and if we are persecuted for our faith, we can boldly proclaim that we are totally dependent upon Him alone, and He will see that we don’t fear what man can do to us. Our foundation is clear.
