GOD’S WORD FOR APRIL 4~ ~ Job 34:14-15 ~ ~ “If it were His intention and He withdrew His Spirit and breath, all mankind would perish together and man would return to dust.”  God didn’t make natural laws at Creation, then sit back and let them play themselves out.  The Trinity is active every minute, governing the laws of the universe “by hand” as we would say.   Nothing happens without God.  If He would quit, it all would cease to exist, INCLUDING US.   If the sun were closer, the earth and everything on it would burn up immediately.  If it were farther away, everything would freeze and stay that way.   If our atmosphere was thinner, the meteors that now harmlessly burn up would bombard us.  If the moon wasn’t exactly the size it is, and the exact distance away, the ocean tides would flood the land twice a day.  If the continental shelf was smaller, the oceans would be deeper near the shore and cause great damage.

Everything  in nature…..seasons, daylight, oxygen balance, etc. must be maintained in delicate balance, or our solar system would fall apart, and the earth would be just another lifeless rock.  Since everything is made up of atoms, Jesus holds all atoms together too, or matter would cease to exist. “ He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.” Colossians 1:17

He is not just the Creator, He is active nurturing and governing all aspects of that creation!

Not only that, but Jesus stepped way down into that creation to take humiliation and to suffer and pay the price for our sins, while at the same time holding all things together!!!! Heb. 1:3 “ who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high”

    Father, please open hearts to see the great danger of believing the lies of the devil.   Please cause them to see that it is You alone who loves them and desires their salvation.  Make them aware of their sin nature, and individual sins, and the fact that by knowing they can do nothing to save themselves, but they can have forgiveness through Jesus Christ.  In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, Who constantly intercedes for us, we come to Your throne with this request.  Amen
