GOD’S WORD FOR APRIL 20~ ~ 2Peter 1:20-21~ ~ “But understand this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of or comes from one’s own [personal or special] interpretation,  for no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.”

The Bible is the Creator’s letter to His creation. It is the story of the rebellion in heaven by Lucifer, all the way to the creation of the New Earth and lives of the saved for eternity. It is a magnificent story and will be proven true in the future, as it has been proven true in history over and over again. In fact, 100% of the time, the historical stories and facts, predictions and prophesies in the Bible have been proven true—EVERY TIME. Can any other book have a record like that? It not only gives the facts, but also the underlying purposes of God in allowing the situations to occur. He even teaches us the lessons learned. What we’re going through is a continuation of that story, and we are hopefully learning lessons from the Almighty and only God.

It is the only “religious” book that tells of the moral standard required of man, and how mankind can only accomplish it not by relying upon his own efforts, but by humbling himself to a higher Being.

The Old Testament states about 2600 times that it is God-breathed, and absolutely true.

No other book claims that, nor would dare to, because it would not stand up for accuracy. But the Bible stands.

The Bible is the only book that was literally written by God through His Spirit. Every word is true as written, no matter what we’ve been told by our church teachings, parents, or anyone else. It can be understood by anyone who has the indwelling Holy Spirit as a result of accepting Christ’s substitution for sin. It alone tells of the necessity of accepting Jesus as our PERSONAL Saviour, not just the “Saviour of the world” and repenting of our sins. Therefore, how we see and react to God’s Word will determine our destiny for eternity—-heaven or hell—no second chance, no third choice.

It is also the only book, that, when read and obeyed, will give us a peace that the world cannot give.

Heavenly Father, we know from Your Word that Your perfect will is that all be saved. We also know that everyone won’t be~ ~ that the “road is narrow that leads to life” because of our choices and deceptive teachings. Since it is You who draws them, we pray that Your drawing will bear fruit in those we know and love, and that they will respond positively. We pray that their hearts and minds will be open to know the Bible as Your true words to them personally, resulting in their salvation. We thank You for salvation through Jesus Christ, and in His powerful name, we pray these things. Amen.
