GOD’S WORD FOR APRIL 22
GOD’S WORD FOR APRIL 22 ~ ~ Jeremiah 32:17~ ~ “Ah, Sovereign Lord, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for You.”
When divers go deep underwater, extra nitrogen dissolves into their blood. If they return to the surface too quickly, the nitrogen bubbles out of their blood, and these bubbles block the blood flow to muscles, organs, and brain, causing great damage or even death many times. This is known as “the bends”.
For many years, scientists didn’t know how seals and other mammals could go underwater for extended times and not have this problem. After putting a backpack on some seals with heart monitors in them, they found something interesting:
The nitrogen did indeed begin to accumulate in the blood of the seals. However, it leveled off just before it became a danger. They found out later how this happens:
The tiny sacks in the lungs of the seals (to absorb air and pass oxygen to the blood stream) shut down at that point of high nitrogen in the blood. At the same time, the seal’s heart, liver, and blubber began to absorb the nitrogen from the blood!! As they ascended to the surface, these things began to coordinate with their ascent and reactivated at the correct speed, making a smooth transition that the seals were not even aware of ——nor were the scientists for many years.
God loves His creatures—-all of them, and He equips them perfectly for their lives. So He does with each of us. He equips us for whatever plan of life He has for each of us. We will all have troubled times in our lives, but, unknown to us, God has equipped each of us perfectly in order to rely upon Him during those times. It’s up to us to give our lives to Him to fit into His perfect plan.
Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”
