GOD’S WORD FOR APRIL 27
GOD’S WORD FOR APRIL 27 ~ ~ Psalm 86:8 ~ ~ “There is none like You, O Lord; Neither are there any works like Your works”
Our wonderful Lord is full of surprises, and He is a nurturer of His creatures. I think He has a sense of humor toward those who falsely teach evolution. There is no better example of these things than the Australian aquatic frog.
After this frog lays her eggs, and they hatch, she does what no other mother would do normally—she swallows her young!!! First reaction is, of course, that they would die and be digested, like any other food she would eat.
But, in His great wisdom, her Creator has prepared for this frog family to all survive and be healthy. She stops eating for eight weeks. Her work is finished—she takes a rest.
Meanwhile, in her stomach, her babies are busy releasing fine threads of special chemicals that prevent her stomach from releasing digestive acids, which converts her digestive organ into a warm home for her babies for eight weeks. After that time, they simply crawl out of her mouth, and go about their lives!
My guess is, that Mama is pretty hungry by this time, and heading to her first meal in two months!!!!!
Our Lord is not only full of surprises concerning His creatures, He will surprise and delight us also, once we develop that personal relationship with Him!
For instance, do you know that He sings to us, and relaxes with us? Yes He does.
Zephaniah 3:17 ~ ~ “… he will rejoice over you with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over you with singing.”
Thank You, Father, that You and Your Son Jesus Christ, along with Your Holy Spirit, have created the most wonderful creation!! Thank You that You freshen it up with surprises and extremely varied situations, which You delight to do with us, Your children, also. May we develop that relaxed, but respectful relationship with You where we can get to know You personally and feel Your presence in everything we do or think. We praise You that this is also Your will for us, and that You made it possible through the sacrifice of our Savior and Lord, Jesus the Christ. In whose wonderful name we pray because of that sacrifice and His intercession for us that makes our prayers possible. Amen
