GOD’S WORD FOR MAY 15
GOD’S WORD FOR MAY 15 ~ ~ Job 28:24-28~ ~ “For He looks to the ends of the earth;
He sees everything under the heavens.
When He imparted weight to the wind,
And assessed the waters by measure,
When He made a limit for the rain,
And a course for the thunderbolt,
Then He saw it and declared it;
He established it and also searched it out.
And to mankind He said, ‘Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom;
And to turn away from evil is understanding.’”
The Creator God told us that He “imparted weight to the wind” (third line above).
Man did not discover that air had weight until 1643. Galileo’s student built the first barometer to measure the pressure and weight of air. This would have been about 3,000 years after this was written. Just like today, when evolutionist scientists study fossils, trying to disprove the Bible, their findings actually prove the truth of Creation.
Our atmosphere is over 100 miles thick, and the total pressure of gravity pulling all of this air downward is quite significant. Although we cannot feel the pressure, air is pressing in on us with a force of 14.7 pounds per square inch. This translates into over 20,000 total pounds exerted against the average size person!
Wouldn’t that eventually squish us inward? Not with a wise and almighty Creator!!! He made equal force pushing outward from inside each of our cells!!!!!
He does the same with us when He deals with us in this life. To draw us to Himself, for our ultimate benefit, He will put pressure on us, in circumstances of life, or inward struggles. But He is always there, giving us Grace on the inside to “push back” as He does in our physical cells. He will never give us more than we can bear by His wonderful, loving Grace!!!
We are truly “wonderfully made!” Psalm 139:14
“I will give thanks to You, because I am awesomely and wonderfully made; Wonderful are Your works, And my soul knows it very well.”
